The Animation Freak.    Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog.  Ok, now, this is how an animated film is supposed to me made.  Scooby-Doo  and  the Gang  find themselves in the middle of Nowhere, Kansas, the backwoods hometown of  Courage  and his owners,  Muriel  and  Eustace Bagge . The story was absolutely amazing, the way Scooby, Shaggy and Courage get scared of everything takes you back to the early shows, just makes it even greater.  Scooby-Doo and Courage the Cowardly Dog sniff out a strange object in the middle of Nowhere, Kansas. Soon, the mysterious discovery puts them on the trail of a giant cicada monster and her wacky winged warriors.  . During the unmasking of a bank-robbing clown, Scooby-Doo hears a strange noise and is driven to dance and then runs away. Meanwhile, Courage appears to be having the same problem, though Muriel and Eustace Bagge don't seem to notice. The gang rushes after Scooby only to f

The Animation Freak.                             Scooby-Doo! and the Goblin King I really enjoyed this film, it's animation was amazing and fit with ever other Scooby-Doo film, I loved the story and if you have read my other posts you know that the story and animation have to go together or at least fit the narrative between the characters. They did a masterful job with this one and I have watched it many times over and am glad I bought it. I will be doing a Scooby-Doo blog posting marathon, I own over 42 films and love everyone of them.  I know this one is short but I am working on some other posts, look for my next one really soon. If you want to know what the Goblin King is about you can read the plot below and see the trailer for it above. The Mystery, Inc. gang goes to the annual Coolsville  Halloween   carnival  on Halloween night. While there, they encounter the resident  magician  "The Amazing Krudsky" (voiced by  Wayne Knight

The Animation Freak. Mad Monster Party.

The Animation Freak.                                         Mad Monster Party.  Tim Burton has said numerous times, if it wasn't for 1967 MAD MONSTER PARTY, he never would have made Nightmare before Christmas, Vincent, Frankenweenie and numerous others. For me if it wasn't for Rankin/Bass and everything they made none of the Stop-Motion films we see today would be around and I know someone would have came up with the ideas but it wouldn't be the same, they revolutionized the Stop-Motion animated films of today, they created legendary and iconic films for other filmmakers to follow. It all started with, Willy McBean and His Magic Machine in 1965,  The film tells the story of Willy McBean, a young schoolboy who teams up with an anthropomorphic monkey named Pablo to prevent the villainous professor Rasputin Von Rotten from changing the history of the world, using the newly created and duplicated "magic" time machine. The Animation Freak. Adventures of Mark Twain.

The Animation Freak.                                 Adventures of Mark Twain. When I heard about this film years ago when I was young I really wanted to watch it but getting a copy of it was really hard to find and it wasn't being shown on T.V. cause after it aired people complained about it being to creepy and yes I can see that but it was a historical Stop-motion film and very ground breaking, Will Vinton did an his team did a amazing job with working out of a basement of a barbershop, he has always been one of those filmmakers that couldn't make a bad film, I think this film was a homerun. I got to sit down and watch it the other night and seeing it as an adult makes it that more meaningful cause I am a huge Stop-motion fan, from Rankin/Bass, L aika Studios and every other production company that makes them. Not all Stop-motion films are great but the work that goes into making them is a feet in it's self. Adventures of Mark Twain wa
